Rivers freeze and skies fall / when I behold it all / I had the dream again / I stand on the brink watching a wave sweep away everything, and everyone / I'm left alone in a world dry and cracked / can you tell me what it means? cause every day I am someone else for everyone else / I walk the halls of a crowded building utterly alone / and maybe it's because no one ever really loved or maybe it is me who has things all wrong / I've grown such a thick callous, I can barely feel the prick of sin / but I'm not dead yet, sadly I can't say the same for the rest / they're all dead to me they're all plastic to me / where's the heart? where's your soul? / did you lose them? or have you ever even had them? / everyone speaks but no one seems to follow through / this world is an empty promise built on empty words, spoke by empty people / or maybe everyone feels just like me, underneath / searching, wishing, pleading, and bleeding / for something, someone / cause this damn whole in our chests never seems to go away / and we're all lost cause we all elect false shepherds to lead us / they never lead us home / I just want to go home / I just want to be full again.
